LME aluminium price gains US$26/t to US$2341.5/t; SHFE price dips by US$11/t

LME aluminium opened at US$2,371 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$2,381.5 per tonne, an increase of US$7.5 per tonne or 0.32 per cent.

On Tuesday, November 29, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$26 per tonne or 1.12 per cent to settle at US$2,341 per tonne and US$2,341.50 per tonne.

3-month bid price and 3-month offer price ascended by US$27 per tonne or 1.14 per cent and US$28.5 per tonne or 1.21 per cent to close at US$2,380 per tonne and US$2,382 per tonne.

December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price gained US$28 per tonne or 1.15 per cent to score at US$2,450 per tonne and US$2,455 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock clocked at 503150 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants were halted at 279425 tonnes and 223725 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price expanded by US$53.25 per tonne or 2.26 per cent to peg at US$2,402 per tonne.

SHFE aluminium price 

On Wednesday, November 30, SHFE benchmark aluminium price has dropped by US$11 per tonne or 0.41 per cent to reside at US$2,645 per tonne.

The most-traded SHFE 2301 aluminium closed up 1.76 per cent or RMB 330 per tonne at RMB 19,030 per tonne, with open interest up 20,696 lots to 223,195 lots.

The most-traded SHFE 2301 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,920 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 19,000 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,905 per tonne, down RMB 125 per tonne or 0.66 per cent.
