Morgan Motor Company, in collaboration with Pininfarina S.p.A., has introduced the Midsummer, a limited-edition vehicle that epitomises over two centuries of combined coachbuilding expertise. This exquisite creation not only pays homage to the European barchetta design but also showcases Morgan's iconic silhouette, reflecting the brand's flexible design ethos.
{alcircleadd}At the heart of Midsummer lies a celebration of traditional craftsmanship and sustainability. The cabin features more than 400 layers of sustainably sourced teak, meticulously laminated to create sculptured wooden structures. These elements enhance the vehicle's distinctive shoulder line, adding a touch of natural elegance.
A hallmark of the Midsummer is its hand-formed aluminium body panels, each requiring over 250 hours to craft. This meticulous process underscores the commitment to quality and precision that both Morgan and Pininfarina are renowned for. The aluminium panels not only ensure a lightweight and durable structure but also contribute to the vehicle's sleek and timeless aesthetic.
The collaboration between Morgan and Pininfarina has resulted in a design that is both striking and unique, embodying the essence of both brands' rich heritage and visionary design philosophies. Limited to just 50 examples, the Midsummer has captivated enthusiasts, with all units allocated to customers following a series of exclusive preview sessions.
Notably, this marks the first time a production car is adorned with the 'Pininfarina Fuoriserie' badge, symbolising bespoke craftsmanship and exclusivity.
