The long-awaited bauxite, alumina and aluminium conference of India (IBAAS-JNARDDC 2023) will be inaugurated on December 4, 2023, in Nagpur. On the first day of the conference, an augural function will be followed by 7 keynote addresses by leading bauxite, alumina and aluminium experts from India and abroad. In the afternoon, sponsors and supporters like Tokai COBEX GmbH, AKW Apparate + Verfahren GmbH, Nalco Water, Ashapura, STC-Engineering, SpectraFlow Analytics AG and Alumina Chemicals and Castable will show their company developments and new products. About 7 exhibition stalls of this mega aluminium event are taken by Malvern Panalytical, a division of Spectris Technologies, Westech Process Equipment, SpectraFlow Analytics AG and Janatics India.

On the second day of the conference (December 5), 3 parallel technical sessions on Bauxite-Alumina, Smelter and Aluminium downstream will be conducted in 3 different conference halls. In the bauxite alumina sessions, about 17 selected technical papers will be presented by leading Indian and foreign experts. Here, technical experts of Hindalco, Vedanta, AKW, Nalco Water, Malvern Panalytical, Remi Process, Westech, Metso, Venus Engineering, SpectraFlow, etc., will present their papers. The second parallel session on aluminium smelter has 19 technical papers, mainly from primary aluminium producers, R&D Institutes, and Janatics India. All the aluminium smelters of India are represented here. The third parallel technical session on Aluminium Downstream and Sustainability has 14 technical papers that will be presented by Scientists / Engineers of JNARDDC, Magma, q-Maxim LLP, IIT, Ria Casthouse, Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) and CETIZION Verifica etc.

IBAAS 2023     

On the third day, two parallel technical sessions on non-metallurgical bauxite-alumina and Bauxite residue will be conducted. About 5 papers will be presented in the non-metallurgical section, and 5 presentations will be on Bauxite Residue. An intense discussion will follow these presentations, and several networking opportunities will be there. Before the closure of the third day, an award ceremony for outstanding papers will be held to encourage young scientists and engineers. A concluding conference session is being organised before the closure of technical sessions. After this conference, a plant visit to Mouda Aluminium downstream facilities has been scheduled, and about 25 delegates have already registered for the same.
