Constellium, a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and recycling of aluminium products, will reportedly supply a wide range of aluminium flat-rolled products to Daher, a French aircraft manufacturer. The news came after Constellium announced on January 10 that it entered into a multi-year aluminium product supply agreement with Daher.
{alcircleadd}This new agreement expands Constellium’s customer profile for business and regional jets. The global aluminium manufacturer will provide flat-rolled products to Daher, particularly for its TBM and Kodiak aircraft. The aluminium product will come from Constellium’s Issoire (France) facility.
Under the new contract, Constellium and Daher have agreed to work together on joint supply chain initiatives and product development. The former will assist Daher in TBM and Kodiak aircraft development to cope with the increasing production rate by providing aluminium flat-rolled and work on designing new solutions to further lightweight aircraft along with respective sustainability commitments.
“We are very proud and enthusiastic to become the strategic aluminium supplier of Daher; this contract is the basis of future developments between our teams,” said Lionel Thomas, Global Aerospace Sales Director of Constellium’s Aerospace and Transportation business unit.
Paul-Marie Dubreuil, VP Procurement, Daher, commented: “Choosing Constellium as our strategic aluminium supplier for the needs of our own aircraft and aerostructures programs is a major step for us, and will build foundations for further partnership to develop sustainable and optimized aircraft and solutions.”
