The AC Cobra is a well-known sports car that originated in the 1960s and combined British design with American V8 power. The new AC Cobra GT Roadster aims to keep the tradition alive with a modern yet retro-looking design.

Despite its larger size, the new model maintains its lightweight construction thanks to a carbon composite body and an extruded aluminium spaceframe chassis. As it is known, aluminium is lighter than conventional metals used as raw materials in the automobile industry.
Its lightweight aluminium construction results in a kerb weight of just 1,450kg, which makes it easier for the 5.0-litre V8 engine to run the vehicle.
Buyers can choose between a normally aspirated engine with 338kW and 570Nm or a supercharged variant with 488kW and 780Nm, capable of sprinting from 0-96km/h in 3.4 seconds. The gearbox options include a six-speed manual for traditionalists and a 10-speed auto box for those seeking a more modern driving experience.
The two-seat cabin features traditional dials on the upper section of the dashboard, with unique hand-finished elements. The touch-screen system on the lower dash above the centre console is a modern addition to the retro design.
The latest version of AC Cobra GT Roadster was unveiled at a private preview event at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
The CEO of AC Cars, David Conza, commented: “Our goal was to surpass the expectations of our esteemed clientele, who have grown accustomed to the finest in automotive luxury.”
“The overwhelmingly positive feedback we received from the attendees confirm that we have well and truly exceeded those expectations,” he specified.
“The AC Cobra GT Roadster is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. We are delighted that customers could join us from around the world, and thank them for placing the utmost faith in us,” Conza concluded.
The newly designed AC Cobra GT Roadster would be configured for both left and right-hand drives, and clients can ask for their desired customisation globally.
