Situated in New South Wales, Australia, Alpha HPA (A4N) has received a grant of $15.5 million from the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.
{alcircleadd}The grant falls under the jurisdiction of the Critical Minerals Accelerator Initiative (CMAI) and will be utilised to expand and speed up the production capacity of the Precursor Production Facility (PPF). As the primary step towards HPA First Project, the PPF is being constructed at this moment in Gladstone.
Managing Director of Alpha HPA Rimas Kairaitis remarked, “These additional funds will allow Alpha to accelerate its response to inbound demand for additional product volumes, in particular, the production of HPA tablets to meet the immediate demand for sapphire glass production, and rapidly establish Alpha HPA in the supply chain at commercial volumes.”
The funds will be dedicated to increasing the production capacity of HPA (High Purity Alumina) by 10 tonnes per annum; it is the same in the case of high purity boehmite production.
Finalising a grant agreement with the Department of Industry will be the next swift action that Alpha HPA partakes in.
The company will start producing from the September 2022 quarter since its fully funded stage one PPF is scheduled to start commercially producing the company’s high purity aluminium precursors by then.
A4N is dedicating itself at this moment to fully developing the HPA First Project by financing the idea till the company takes a final investment decision. Consecutively Alpha HPA is also trying to upgrade the phases of market outreach for a better penetration in the global industry chain.
