Alspec, a leading aluminium processing firm in New South Wales, has selected GoodWe's lightweight solar solution to fulfil their expanding energy demands while working within the limits of their new roof's low-bearing capacity. GoodWe, a global producer of solar energy solutions, has partnered with its authorised distributor, Umax Energy, to deliver the GoodWe BIPV smart solution to Alspec.
{alcircleadd}The collaborative endeavour will use sustainable solar photovoltaic (PV) technology composed of aluminium to fulfil Alspec's expanding energy demands. The project entails delivering and installing a 100kW solar power system on the roof of Alspec's headquarters and production plant, which will use GoodWe's 315W Galaxy Ultra panels and HT100kW string inverters.
Umax Power suggested GoodWe's Galaxy Series 315W, so Alspec installed it without a hitch. This would prevent water from leaking out and keep operations running smoothly. These lightweight panels also put Alspec's worries about roof damage to rest. When paired with GoodWe's efficient HT string inverters, the Galaxy Series may optimise energy production and self-consumption.
Alspec had just replaced their roof to solve the problem of water leaks caused by a failing roof. The weight and drilling required to install conventional rooftop solar panels compromised the new roof's load-bearing capability, increasing the likelihood of leaking and the associated repair expenses and production delays. The ideal answer to Alspec's problems was the Galaxy Series solar panels made by GoodWe.
"We're delighted to provide this smart BIPV solution for Alspec. GoodWe has been dedicated to improving our commercial and industrial solution portfolio, ensuring that we can offer customised solutions that precisely meet our customers' unique energy needs. We expect to partner with more business owners to help reduce energy expenses while achieving substantial energy savings and emission reductions," said Apollo Chai, head of GoodWe Australian BIPV Marketing.
Alspec's commercial activities significantly rely on electricity for aluminium alloy processing, cutting, welding, and coating, resulting in a fast increase in manufacturing costs. In response to the New South Wales government's recent 30 per cent increase in power bills, Alspec researched alternate energy sources, with solar photovoltaic technology as a suitable answer.
The system is expected to provide 80 per cent of Alspec's electrical demands for manufacturing and operations. The Galaxy Series solar panel, part of GoodWe's BIPV product line, may be used in various commercial applications, complementing the company's C&I solution offering. The device, launched in the Australian market, has sparked great interest among company owners looking for dependable, efficient, and visually beautiful solar solutions.
