Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced that Aludium France SAS subsidiary in Castelsarrasin has been accredited with the ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification for coil manufacture. Aludium has now certified all three of its manufacturing facilities to the ASI Performance Standard V2, with the Alicante and Amorebieta operations following suit in December 2022.
The facility manufactures bright aluminium material for the worldwide market, with building, automotive, transportation, packaging, and general engineering applications. Two rolling mills and accompanying finishing lines are located on the property.

The ASI Certification programme, established after intensive multi-stakeholder input, is the first complete voluntary sustainability standard project for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) sets environmental, social, and governance principles and standards to address sustainability challenges across the aluminium value chain. It establishes 59 criteria within the three sustainability pillars of Environment, Social, and Governance, addressing critical concerns such as biodiversity, labour rights, Indigenous Peoples' rights, and greenhouse gas emissions.
