Forests occupy 31 percent of the planet's surface area and house 80 percent of the planet's land-based biodiversity. Forest cover is also important for climate change mitigation.
Despite this, deforestation and forest degradation continue at alarming rates, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization's "State of the World's Forests 2020" report, contributing considerably to the continuous loss of biodiversity.
Aluminium, sometimes known as a "green metal," is widely acknowledged as a viable and cost-effective alternative to wood-based building materials, and it is at the heart of Alumex PLC's sustainable manufacturing solutions.
Throughout the years, Alumex has worked to work with a variety of stakeholders to instil sustainable production processes, as well as cooperate with its stakeholders on increasing circularity and meeting its environmental responsibilities.
