ALUMINIUM 2018- the 12th World Trade Fair & Conference begins today at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany. From 9 to 11 October 2018, the Exhibition Centre on the Rhine is going to become the global marketplace of the aluminium industry. Some 1,000 exhibitors from around the world are in Düsseldorf and the exhibition area has expanded to 80,000 square metres.
The mega aluminium industry event, being organized by Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH and Project ALUMINIUM would host exhibitors from across the entire aluminium industry’s supply chain. Spread across six exhibition halls, global players, specialists and young innovative companies will showcase the industry’s complete range – from aluminium production to machines and plants for processing to semi-finished and finished goods and recycling.
Besides the aluminium key industry, the trade show and its exhibitors will focus on processes and products for the main aluminium application industries: automotive, engineering, building and construction, aerospace, electronics, packaging and railway.
The well-known theme pavilions will lead visitors through the structured exhibition halls to their interest zones.
In the new special exhibition area Digital Manufacturing, visitors will experience what Industry 4.0 means for the aluminium industry and what kinds of productivity benefits the industry can get by implementation of it.
Another new exhibition area dubbed “Environmental Engineering” will cover water treatment, air filtration systems and the other waste treatment technologies and the role they play in building a sustainable industry.
Significance of recycling is increasing in a time of shrinking raw material reserves and scarce, and above all expensive, energy. The ALUMINIUM trade fair in Düsseldorf will also present the latest developments and potential of light metal recycling.
At the ALUMINIUM 2018 venue, a conference with the topic ‘Aluminium – Material for the Future’ is being organized by the German Aluminium Association (GDA). The conference will cover various applications of aluminium currently used further possibilities that will make products in the future even lighter and more resource efficient.
Exhibitors themselves will take the podium at the ALUMINIUM Forum, which is part of the trade fair’s supporting programme. Over the course of the three-day lecture event, companies will introduce their innovations and successful projects.
