Mr. Anthony Tropeano, a distinguished expert in the aluminium industry, joins AlCircle as the North American Strategic Advisor. Currently, Mr. Tropeano serves as the President of TT Consulting Inc., a US-based firm that provides management consulting services in the metals, mining, and contracting sectors.
Having worked in the ferrous and non-ferrous industries for 40 years, Mr. Tropeano retired from FATA S.p.A. (part of the Danieli Group) in February 2018. As Chief Executive Officer of FATA, he successfully led its two operating divisions, FATA Hunter (engineering and equipment supplier for aluminium flat rolled products) and FATA EPC (supplier of complete plants on an LSTK-EPC basis).
Before joining FATA, Mr. Tropeano served as Executive V.P. and COO of Italimpianti of America, Inc. - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Jersey City State College and an MBA degree from Farleigh Dickinson University.
During his career, he has belonged to various associations, including TMS, ECCA, AISE, and NCCA. He was on the Board of Directors and one of the founding members of E.U. Metallurgy, an Association located in Brussels.
While joining AlCircle, Mr. Tropeano commented, "With around 40 years of experience working in the ferrous and non-ferrous industry, I have developed a vast knowledge of the industry worldwide as well as a wide network of contacts. I want to contribute more in the coming years to the aluminium industry by leveraging my personal network and the digital ecosystem that AlCircle is creating. I am hopeful that my knowledge of the physical business will fuel the plans at AlCircle to continue growing towards a one-stop solution for the aluminium industry. "
Mr. Tropeano addressed the global economic slowdown forecast for 2022 by saying, "The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has affected the economy and the industry and contributed to global inflation. Despite the economic slowdown, I do not expect it to affect the aluminium industry significantly."
