Alupro, the organisation dedicated to aluminium packaging recycling, has been announced as the newest sponsor for this year’s CLAIRE Wales Conference. Scheduled for Wednesday, November 6th, at the University of Wales, the event will focus on the future of recycling and the importance of collaboration in advancing a more circular economy.
{alcircleadd}The conference will gather the fourteen local authority members of the group, featuring several prominent keynote speakers, engaging Q&A sessions, and ample networking opportunities. Delegates will also include representatives from various councils across Wales and the bordering regions of England.
Tom Giddings, executive director of Alupro, said, “Wales currently sits second in the global league table for household recycling performance, with a 65% recycling rate, offsetting the release of more than 400,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per annum. While Welsh councils are already leading the way, building on strong foundations will prove pivotal to creating an even better future. At this year’s conference, delegates will have the opportunity to listen to insight from some of the industry’s leading voices, learn from best practices and discuss how cross-council collaboration will accelerate performance towards meeting recycling targets both faster and more efficiently.”
In addition to Alupro, the event is also sponsored by the European Recycling Platform, Goldstone Books, the Impact Environmental Group, SSI Schäfer, Storm, Nappi Cycle, and Roadvert.
