Amazon has launched a new smart speaker in India called the Echo Pop, which boasts an innovative semi-sphere design and a front-facing speaker that delivers high-quality sound. The most impressive part about this device is that it has been comprised of 100% end-of-life recycled fabric and 80% recycled aluminium.
{alcircleadd}The device features a new AZ2 Neural Edge processor that enables faster response times from Alexa. The Echo Pop is the smallest smart speaker in Amazon's Echo lineup, measuring 99 mm x 83 mm x 91 mm, making it smaller than the Echo Dot by a decent margin.
It's also the most affordable speaker, priced at INR 4,999 compared to the Echo Dot's INR 5,499. Customers can purchase the Echo Pop in four colours - White, Black, Green and Purple - via the Amazon India website or online and offline stores such as Croma, Reliance Digital, Poorvika, and Amazon devices kiosks across India.
Despite its affordability, the Echo Pop boasts all the features of other more expensive Echo devices. Users can control their smart home devices with voice commands and set up routines to suit their everyday needs and requirements.
It was inevitable for Amazon to come up with something unique and eco-friendly to compete with the wave of sustainability targets taken up by tech giants like Apple, Lenovo and Huawei. Jeff Bezos's firm knows exactly how to step into the sustainable electronics market, and like always, it has created a small, commercially viable, affordable product that can be easily advertised and circulated into the system.
When we consider the Indian subcontinent, it is already known quantity, and low prices can overtake good quality products because the retail demand is ever so huge. But Amazon is one of India's most trusted e-commerce platforms, and its products are sold in millions within the blink of an eye.
The device also supports alarms, reminders, bill payments, and music streaming via Amazon Prime Music, Hungama, Spotify, JioSaavan, Apple Music, and more. The Echo Pop can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker, allowing users to connect their smartphones and stream their favourite music.
It's compatible with smart bulbs and other smart electrical appliances from brands like Wipro, Syska, Xiaomi, and others and supports smart home automation. Amazon Eco Pop also features a specific mic mute and unmute button that comes in handy along with other in-built security and privacy settings.
