Ardagh Metal Packaging S.A., a global supplier of sustainable, infinitely recyclable packaging solutions, has appointed Stefan Schellinger, who will succeed David Bourne as a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment will be effective from September 1, 2024.
Schellinger will join Ardagh with more than 25 years of experience in finance and commerce. He also has a strong background in relevant industrial end markets as he previously worked as CFO and Executive Director at ContourGlobal plc and Essentra plc.
Schellinger served ContourGlobal plc as Executive Vice President, Global Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors from 2019 to 2023. Before that, he was Group Finance Director and Executive Director of the diversified industrial company Essentra plc from 2015 to 2018. He joined the company in 2013 as a Corporate Development Director and Group Management Committee member.
Schellinger started his career in accountancy at Arthur Andersen. He worked with J.P. Morgan in London as Vice President of investment banking, after which he joined Danaher Corporation as Corporate Development Director and Finance Director from 2005 to 2013.
Schellinger completed his MBA at the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, and pursued a degree in finance and accounting at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
