The Lizhong Sitong Light Alloys Group Co., Ltd. factory in Baoding City, Hebei Province, China, has received Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard accreditation for the design and manufacturing of alloys, metal additives, and fluxes. The company makes aluminium alloy sheet, strip, foil, tube, bar/billet, profile, wire, and castings for the transportation, packaging, electronic, and aerospace industries, among others.
Lizhong Sitong Light Alloys Group Co., Ltd. has been successfully accredited against the ASI Performance Standard for responsible aluminium production, procurement, and stewardship, according to the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI). The firm, which specialises in the research, development, design, manufacturing, and sales of innovative intermediate alloy materials and lightweight aluminium alloy wheels, is one of China's major intermediate alloy and aluminium alloy wheel producers.
The ASI Certification programme is the first complete voluntary sustainability standard project for the aluminium value chain, and it was established after considerable multi-stakeholder input. With the goal of addressing sustainability challenges in the aluminium value chain, the ASI Performance Standard establishes environmental, social, and governance principles and standards. Under the three sustainability pillars of Governance, Environment, and Social, it lays forth 59 criteria that address critical concerns including biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples' rights, and greenhouse gas emissions.
TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH conducted an impartial third-party audit of the Lizhong Sitong Light Alloys Group Co., Ltd. factory.
