"Design You Can Feel" exhibition
With a similar motto, ASUS, a global technology leader, has come up with some exciting innovations showcasing its design philosophy. The Taiwanese multinational company has unveiled its all-new "Design You Can Feel" exhibition at Milan Design Week, offering a deep dive into materiality, craftsmanship, and artificial intelligence (AI) themes.
Each April, Milan becomes a global stage for creativity, drawing in designers, luxury brands, and tech innovators alike. Now in its 63rd edition, Milan Design Week will spotlight bold collaborations between heritage brands and design visionaries. It will also continue to champion sustainable innovation, explore the creative potential of artificial intelligence, and merge digital and physical experiences in ever more compelling ways.
Talking about technology and sustainable innovations, ASUS will present its latest innovations alongside the creative design narratives that shaped them and brought them to life through engaging interactive experiences.
An experimental design by Studio INI
A standout feature of the event will be the captivating immersive installation (titled Willful Wonder), by Studio INI, the experimental design and research studio led by Nassia Inglessis. The 'Design You Can Feel' exhibition is brought to life through a specially commissioned installation by Studio INI, set beneath the elegant curved glass ceiling of Galleria Meravigli.
Crafted from aluminium honeycomb and incorporating elements made with ASUS's innovative Ceraluminum™ material, the wings captivate the senses by both reflecting and diffusing light. This dynamic structure reacts to visitors as they move through it—activating wing-like, semi-transparent panels that gently open and close in response to their presence.
Held at the historic Galleria Meravigli, a 1920s gallery located in the heart of Milan, the exhibition runs from April 8 to 13, 2025. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event is free and accessible to the public.
Ceraluminum – Tribute to nature’s wonder
Next, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in Ceraluminum which is a Tribute to Nature's Wonder, an exploration of the groundbreaking material that's reshaping laptop design. This exhibit highlights the remarkable properties of Ceraluminum™, a patented ASUS innovation born from a fusion of advanced technology and artisanal craftsmanship.
Through a process akin to modern alchemy, plasma discharges transform aluminium into a ceramic-like surface—delivering exceptional resistance to wear, scratches, and impact, while preserving a sleek, smudge-free finish. It's a celebration of durability, beauty, and the seamless harmony between nature and engineering.
Another highlight of the exhibition is the debut of the Ceraluminum Signature Edition—a stunning collection of Zenbook laptops inspired by the Earth's most awe-inspiring landscapes. Each of the four distinctive finishes—Obsidian Black, Pamukkale White, Terra Mocha, and Luminous Blue—tells a unique story, evoking the raw power of volcanic terrain, the serenity of cascading terraces, the warmth of desert dunes, and the magic of bioluminescent shores.
