Axilone sensing sustainability demand deploys new aluminium packaging plant

EDITED BY : 2MINS READ

Attracted by the swiftly evolving luxury beauty brands and its customers' detectable favouritism towards the infinitely recyclable non-ferrous metal aluminium, Axilone has decided to extensively optimise its production lines at the Sant Pere de Torelló plant, situated in Catalonia, Spain.

The emerging sustainability consciousness in the luxury beauty industry has pushed major brands to adopt more sustainable options for packaging their flagship products. Surveys have underlined that customers now prefer healthy, recyclable alternatives to the usual one-time-use plastic cases. This has made the shift to aluminium packaging very prominent and widely spread.

Axilone, a luxury beauty packaging brand, has finalised the incorporation of a new plant to successfully give shape to aluminium packaging solutions demanded by the market. This latest 12,000 m2 production facility will be adjacent to the existing plant, permitting double propulsion of Axilone's metal production capacity.

The building of the latest plant has been projected to begin in the first half of 2023, and the formal inauguration will be accomplished by the start of 2025. Just like the prevailing unit of Axilone, this new facility will also be run with the help of certified green energy.

This initiative might mark the facility's overall production as green materials on a broader scale as the power source and the raw material are completely sustainable.
