Ball Corporation has been accredited with the Corporate Citizenship Medal. CiviCo, a non-profit organisation that binds like-minded social and environmental enthusiasts around the globe and Governor Jared Polis declared the outcome of the 2022 Colorado Governor's Citizenship Medals.
{alcircleadd}Every year, the Governor rounds up the most deserving companies for this title, primarily evaluating a firm's expertise and public relations. Six inspiring companies have been chosen for the 2022 award title, but the actual event has been scheduled for January 26, 2023, to honour Colorado Leadership Month.
Governor Jared Polis declared: "I am honoured to have the opportunity to recognise the recipients with this award and highlight all you have done for Colorado. The important award categories allow us to select recipients from different sectors that all play a unique role in uplifting our communities through innovation and hard work. The recipients truly embody leadership and are driven to make Colorado an even better place to live."
"On behalf of all Coloradans, thank you for your dedication to building a Colorado that can be enjoyed for generations to come," Polis illustrated his view.
After the announcement regarding Ball's win, a post on CiviCo's website quoted: "Ball Corporation consistently proves itself as a company dedicated to Colorado's well-being. Through corporate giving, employee giving, and volunteerism, Ball logged more than 24,000 volunteer hours and donated $6.2 million last year in global community investments."
"This year, to support victims of the Marshall fire, Ball coordinated with the Governor's Office and contributed $1 million to the Community Foundation Boulder County to support those most impacted by the wildfire," the organisation promptly stated.
Ball Corporation has actively supported approximately 2,900 non-profit organisations and promised US$5 million in funding to international communities during the COVID-19 outbreak. Ball's community or social work is completely based on four recurring factors, Education, Recycling, Disaster Relief and Preparedness.
The Governor recognised medal service was first formulated in 2015, with direct inspiration from the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which can be deemed as the highest achievable title specifying notable contributions to communities around the Colorado region. Each recipient of this award has the same motive in mind; they are people who put people first.
