USA’s most reliable aluminium products manufacturer, Ball Corporation, has successfully accumulated and recycled almost 300,000 aluminium cans branded under the O’cean Sustainable Energy drink.
{alcircleadd}The programme is an extended part of the everlasting collaboration of O’cean Beverages with iconic Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. The initiative completely focuses on aluminium recycling.
For each O’cean can be bought by a customer, Ball will collect and recycle an aluminium can. The non-ferrous metal is infinitely recyclable, and beverage cans are created out of the purest form of aluminium, which makes it easier for any recycler to extract a fresh batch of raw material for use in new products. Ball is going to transform its collected amount of cans into a new batch of raw materials for future can-making purposes.
With the rising demand for sustainable packaging solutions, Ball is incorporating various sports personalities and brands who have lauded this swift transformation to environment-friendly products.
The partnership was first hailed in a social media post by Virat Kohli, where the cricketer was found appreciating the sustainable drive.
Aluminium cans are, at this moment, the globe’s most broadly recycled beverage packaging module, with an 82% recycling rate in the UK alone and a 76% recycling rate in the whole of Europe.
The Director for Sales & Marketing at Ball India, Manish Joshi, exclaimed: “Our goal has been to reduce waste and to highlight the benefits of choosing infinitely recyclable aluminium beverage packaging.”
“We are delighted that a global superstar with a following like Virat Kohli’s is on board with the sustainability benefits of aluminium cans,” he added.
“Mr Kohli has been instrumental in amplifying our aluminium, recycling and sustainability story,” Joshi concluded.
