The Minister, Sven Schulze, who is responsible for Economic Affairs, Tourism, Agriculture, and Forestry for the state of Saxony-Anhalt, exemplified: "The expansion of the location by LMG Hoym shows that the company is meeting the challenges of structural change in the industry with innovative solutions. This not only creates new jobs but also promotes further economic development in the region. This will accelerate our course and keep Saxony-Anhalt in the fast lane."

The reason behind this strategic move

The significance of this venture becomes apparent as the newly inaugurated facility sets its sights on crafting high-precision electromobility parts for the discerning European market. This development not only fortifies LMG's position as a Tier 1 supplier for BMW but also underscores the symbiotic relationship between the German automotive giant and Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited, LMG's Indian parent company.

Transitioning from manual to fully automated processes, LMG has emerged as a leader in the integration of aluminium die casting and plastic injection moulding, setting itself apart on a Europe-wide scale. The company's portfolio, now steeped in fully automated manufacturing, encompasses casting and punching tools, mould inserts, and milling devices, marking a pivotal milestone in its journey.

Markus Bauer, District Administrator of the Salzland district, commends LMG's forward-looking approach, attributing its success to innovative technologies in the mobility sector. This shift not only enhances efficiency and competitiveness but positions LMG as a significant employer, with its workforce surging from 140 to 240 employees within the expansion period.

Why is the LMG – BMW collaboration important for the European Automobile Sector?

As the automotive sector undergoes a transformative phase, with LMG at the forefront of this metamorphosis, the collaboration with BMW takes centre stage. Dr. Wolfgang Blumlhuber, BMW division manager, expresses pride in LMG's ascent as a vital Tier 1 supplier, highlighting the collaborative success that hinges on trust and support. Dr Robert Franke, Managing Director of Sachsen-Anhalt mbH (IMG), underscores the growth spurt for LMG and its pivotal role in reshaping the automotive landscape.

The synergy between LMG and BMW in advancing aluminium electromobility parts showcases the industry's adaptability and resilience. This collaboration not only signifies a paradigm shift in manufacturing processes but also highlights the pivotal role aluminium plays in the evolution of the automotive sector. The rapid transition to fully automated processes and the integration of diverse technologies position LMG as a trailblazer in the industry, contributing significantly to the growth and competitiveness of the German automobile sector.
