Bottega launches Lemon Spritz in aluminium cans exclusively via airlines

This week at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, Valentina Dalle Mule, export area manager for airlines at Bottega, made the following statement while addressing the press: “The focus for Bottega is our new Lemon Spritz. We are offering it in two different versions; this is actually the first time that we have launched it into a 25cl can. It is a blend of Prosecco and limoncello and is a very premium product. In fact, the bubbles come directly from the Prosecco, so there is no added C02.”

Dalle Mule also mentioned: “We are also offering it in a glass version that is 20cl”, and the beverage will be served “as a ready-to-drink cocktail that we will be launching everywhere in the world from now onwards”.

The manager explained how Bottega was inspired to take this step by witnessing all the other companies that were adopting sustainable methods to keep up with the environmental wave. She also claimed that the company was getting immensely conscious about recycling technologies and investing in recyclable packaging solutions.

“We wanted to do something different that was recyclable. It is made from aluminium cans. This is part of Bottega’s sustainability plans,” Valentina added.

Bottega’s Lemon Spritz has earned positive feedback and may lead to the release of more flavours in the future. Dalle Mule, as a spokesperson of the company, mentioned that the small size of the drink makes it ideal for airlines due to its lightweight and easy serving.

She exemplified: “I can tell you it is already performing on airlines well” and “there are plans for more flavours soon”.

Bottega has received three silver medals for their fizz in The Prosecco Masters 2023 and has become a full member of Comitato Leonardo, an organization that promotes Italian quality globally.

Outlook 2023

Bottega also showcased a range of new drinks at the TFWA show in Cannes last year, including a non-alcoholic sparkling wine and a pre-mixed negroni.
