Leicester-based Bridge Aluminium has officially bought the proprietary right of Grainger & Worrall Engineering, a firm that excels in producing aluminium casting components for the automotive industry.
This premeditated agreement will be very crucial in protecting the 36 employees already working under the casting company. The Bridgnorth situated iron or aluminium castings manufacturing unit has been a major supplier in the automotive, precision engineering and machine parts producing subsector.
Grainger & Worrall Engineering has selected Daniel Smith and Paul Meadows, belonging to Teneo Restructuring, to conduct the entire insolvency decorum.
The director of Bridge Aluminium, Grainger & Worrall Engineering, Chris Shield, exclaimed: “We have significant growth plans for the business and look forward to creating a successful business at the site.”
“Its skilled workforce and processes will allow us to expand our capability in complex castings for both production and pre-production volumes, continuing our development in non-ferrous casting by adding the sand-casting process to our existing portfolio of gravity, low-pressure and high-pressure capabilities,” Shield clarified.
Paul Meadows stated: “I’m very pleased that following an accelerated sale process, we have been able to secure a future for the business that safeguards the jobs of all 36 employees at Grainger and Worrall Engineering Limited.”
Bridge Aluminium took legal advice from Sean Moran of Shakespeare Martineau LLP. Other than that, ancillary legal support was given by Jenna Poulton of Eversheds LLP.
This collaboration might be elementary to the UK’s automotive sector as the creation of high-precision aluminium castings, or irons parts can be easily accomplished from now on.
