Aircraft interior solutions provider Bucher has consigned the first set of fully customized galleys and stowages to Airbus Toulouse for their integration into the new Virgin Atlantic A330-900neo. However, on 16th October 2022, the airline took delivery of the first aircraft.
{alcircleadd}The Crawley, UK-headquartered Virgin Atlantic Airways is a repeating customer for Bucher. In 2011, Bucher placed the order for the first generation A330 for Virgin Atlantic. Again, Virgin Atlantic selected Bucher as its airline's 'Buyer Furnished Equipment' (BFE) partner for the follow-up order.
As the industry leader in sustainable materials and processes, Bucher's galleys are made up of 65% recyclable aluminium and are backed by a team of specialized engineers.
Virgin Atlantic stated, "Bucher is known for its high quality and first-class service through short lines of communication; we are pleased that Bucher has supplied exceptional galleys and stowages for our new A330-900neo aircraft. We look forward to welcoming its customers on these beautiful aircraft."
As galleys can be weighty from their size alone, Bucher’s unique lightweight construction technique makes a huge overall difference.
The aluminium frame structure avoids every unnecessary gram of weight and increases the galley lifespan. Ten to fifteen corrosion-free years are ensured by anodised aluminium frame profiles and powder-coated panels, guaranteeing high structural stability.
