The Bulgarian aluminium extruder, Aluplast-ZTG, an Altest company, recently procured a second Nitrex nitriding system. This results from the extruder gaining a big manufacturing boost after installing new extrusion presses to meet customer demand for its extrusion profiles used in residential and commercial construction.
{alcircleadd}Since 2011, the first nitriding furnace, a compact N-EXT-412, has been operating. The new second furnace, a model N-EXT-612, is the same as the first one but more significant, capable of processing a load of extrusion dies weighing up to 1300 lb. (600 kg).
Aluplast's decision to purchase the N-EXT-612 was influenced by an excellent relationship, trust in Nitrex's technology, and short delivery delay.
Atanas Novakov, the Manager at Aluminium Production Plant, said, “We work very well with our Nitrex colleagues. They have always responded to our issues with speed and competence, for which we thank them.”
“Due to the increase in production, we have ordered a second turnkey Nitrex system to meet our needs. Our good relationship and the superior work of the nitriding system made us choose Nitrex again as our partner.”
Marcin Stokłosa, the Project Manager at Nitrex, exemplified, "The N-EXT-612 furnace is equipped with the Nitreg® process technology and recipes specially designed for nitriding H11, and H13 steel extrusion dies. It also has an INS neutralizer to keep the process clean and green."
The nitriding system comes with remote access software and meets the AMS 2759/10 standard for controlled nitriding as well as the AMS 2750 standard for pyrometry and temperature distribution.
Furthermore, the system includes an ammonia sensor for leak detection and an ammonia filter to purify the supply gas by removing any oil content, extending the system's service life.
The order was made in the third quarter of 2021, and work started in the following quarter of the same year.
