The need for sustainable packaging solutions has entirely altered the paradigm of the coffee packaging industry. Cama Group, a leading packaging machinery manufacturer, cites all the new advancements in the field that might lead to process alterations and adoptions of greener packaging materials like aluminium.
{alcircleadd}The coffee packaging industry is always on the move, and Cama Group knows this all too well. Renato Dell'Oro, the Key Account Coffee Industry Manager at Cama Group, understands that keeping up with the latest trends is crucial to their success.
He pointed out: "Flexibility is a top priority for our customers. Market trends change constantly, and we need to make sure that our packaging machinery stays up-to-date with those changes. Our customers have different targets, so we need to offer different configurations or counts in the boxes."
Cama Group is also committed to reducing its carbon footprint by using efficient motors, reducing the usage of compressed air, and adopting the latest pneumatic components. Dell'Oro says they've noticed a growing trend towards material reduction in the industry, and Cama is ready to help its customers meet their environmental goals.
"Carbon reduction is crucial, and all parts of the supply chain can play a part in achieving this. We've noticed a comeback in using aluminium for coffee capsules, as it's a more environmentally-friendly option. We're experts in aluminium, so we're well-equipped to help our customers transit to more sustainable materials," he added.
Cama Group has also developed its flagship capsule packaging monoblock IF 318 machine to work with more sustainable materials. The IF 318 has been used in all the industries Cama Group serves and is a testament to the company's ability to adapt to changing market demands while maintaining its successful heritage.
Dell'Oro says the company has also proposed its All-in-One machine, an evolution of its monoblock model, specifically for the coffee industry. This machine can pack all possible formats, from nested capsules to those with carton interleaves or separators, and provides an alternative to traditional side-loading technology.
Cama Group has a machine to suit every customer's need and uses its market expertise to guide them to the best possible outcome. The company is also investing heavily in research and development, with plans to build a new facility three times larger than its current department and hire more staff.
