CANPACK has currently partnered with Bavaria (ABI Colombia) to initiate a limited edition aluminium can packaging of its proprietary Club Columbia beer.
{alcircleadd}With the help of this premium branding technique, Bavaria focuses on paying an eternal tribute to Columbia's old and diverse culture. This latest edition of Bavaria's traditional Dorada recipe is known as Una Historia Nonuya.
The artwork on the aluminium can is directly inspired by the artist and activist Abel Rodríguez's exemplary work. The artist also belongs to the Nonuya ethnic clan.
The artist claims to be a "sabador" who is famous for his intelligent showcasing of Amazonian flora and fauna. His work is believed to be carrying the true wisdom of the living organisms of the rainforest.
The Director of Premium & Special Brands of Bavaria, Juan Camilo López, illustrated: "Over the years, we have sought new ways to exalt the excellence and multiculturalism of Colombia. We work together with those who have a legacy of greatness and pride in their traditions."
"This is how Una Historia Nonuya was born, an edition that, based on its design, pays homage to the Amazon, to the work of Abel Rodríguez, a member of this community, immortalising its history and inviting Colombians to be part of a legacy for eternity," López concluded.
This was quite a lot on CANPACK's plate as the brand was responsible for showing immense commitment to the cause. Here the use of aluminium is also notable as the non-ferrous metal is infinitely recyclable, justifying the can's exterior design. Not only does the beverage can's design respect the rainforest, but it also adheres to the concept of sustainability.
Moreover, it has been proven earlier that special edition cans have a certain undefined ability to attract new consumers since they become collectable items.
CANPACK has also sprayed the cans with a matt varnish giving them an elegant outlook which matches the premium brand image of Club Columbia.
The Chief Commercial Officer at CANPACK, Stephen McAneny, elaborates: "We are very proud to be part of this special promotion. The labelling on the cans is so much more than mere decoration. The intriguing artwork should plant seeds of awareness about The Amazon Rainforest with its treasure trove of natural resources."
"These cans also carry a link to the precious wisdom of Colombia's indigenous peoples. And all of this is backed up by positive environmental action from the local brewer," McAneny claimed.
Leaving everything apart, this project is going to invoke a greater suitability idea along the retail belt since the art goes beyond the product. Signifying the launch of Una Historia Nonuya, Bavaria is on a journey to plant 10,000 native trees in the Amazon region.
