EDITED BY : 3MINS READ

As a part of an ongoing initiative #CraftedWithCapral led by Capral Aluminium, Central Screens and Locks' business story is unveiled. Central Screens and Locks, owned by husband-wife duo Nigel Waine and Christine, is Australia's household name and is known for its complete security solutions, including domestic security screens and commercial cyclonic screens.

Additionally, Central Screens' locksmith division names it a one-stop-hub with services including but not limited to lock replacement, keying solutions and security keypads.

Reminiscing on the early days of the company, Nigel recalls, "Our journey started from the ground up. I come from a marketing background and realised early on that the business lacked that focus. I quickly took charge of marketing our products, and the growth followed."

Its reputation precedes the brand with projects in Perth's Metro Net, a large-scale government infrastructure endeavour, especially in their railway stations, with one in the upcoming Ranford, where Central Screens and Locks has supplied their signature Amplimesh products in collaboration with Capral. Nevertheless, the Amplimesh product range is not limited here as the company is also a reliable supplier of screens for mobile classrooms across secluded areas of Western Australia.

"These classrooms are sent to places as far north as South Hedland and Dampier and as far south as Albany," Nigel says. "It's exciting to be part of a project that covers such a wide geographical area."

Central Screens and Locks has been associated with Capral Aluminium for over 27 years. "It all started with Ross Sinclair walking into our business in Kenwick. He asked if I was interested in becoming an Amplimesh dealer, and after hearing about the benefits, I jumped on board. That was the start of a fantastic relationship," disclosed Nigel.

Central Screens' continual growth reflects in Nigel's excitement about the future of the business, now more than ever, as his son Ryan is committed to the business. He says, "The succession plan is exciting. It's not easy letting go of the reins, but I know the business is in good hands with Ryan and our dedicated team." Nigel hopes to see continued growth and success, perhaps even welcoming a third generation into the business. "My grandson has expressed interest in joining the company, which would be a dream come true," he concludes.

This human interest series of Capral Aluminium has also brought forward bloom stories of companies like FIN Windows, Ozroll, Ciltech, PCW Commercial Windows and many more.
