Chalco bags the National Quality Project Luban Award for construction excellence

Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco), one of the world's largest producers and suppliers of aluminium, alumina, high-purity aluminium and aluminium anodes, recently won 8 awards, including 1 Luban Award (National Quality Project). A total of 7 projects undertaken by the China-based aluminium company were honoured with the one National Quality Gold Award and the 6 National Quality Awards.

The China Construction Industry Association and the China Construction Enterprise Management Association have recently released the second batch of awards: the China Construction Engineering Luban Award (National Quality Project) and the National Quality Project Award for 2022-2023.

The National Quality Engineering Award-winning "China Aluminium Ruimin Automobile Lightweight Aluminium Alloy Plate and Strip Production Line Project" was surveyed by Changkan Institute, designed by Zhongse Technology, and jointly built by Sixth Metallurgical, Twelfth Metallurgical, and Ninth Metallurgical.

This project is a concrete example of China Aluminium Ruimin actively responding to the national call for energy conservation and emission reduction, seizing the opportunity of the automotive lightweight market, and implementing China Aluminium Group's high-quality connotation development requirements.

The "Universal Studios Beijing Theme Park (Phase I) Project", in which MCC 6 participated as the general contractor, was awarded the Luban Award for Chinese Construction Engineering in January of this year. Furthermore, it has now also received the National Gold Award for High Quality Engineering.

This project has been authorised by the State Council for development in Beijing and its urban sub-centres, primarily focusing on promoting tourism and enhancing the cultural sector. This is very important for stimulating social investment, advancing the transformation and modernisation of the capital's tourist industry and other associated sectors, and enhancing the economic structure of the urban subcentre.
