After reviewing technical reports, examining data, and engaging in discussions, the expert panel concluded that both projects have achieved an internationally leading level of scientific and technological advancement. The project on the comprehensive utilisation and industrial application of secondary aluminium ash in clinker kilns has successfully developed innovative technologies and processes for the collaborative resource utilisation of secondary aluminium ash using the alumina clinker kiln fire method.
Secondary aluminium ash (SAA) is a hazardous by-product generated during aluminium processing. This black slag primarily consists of aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃), aluminium nitride (AlN), and various other compounds. It has introduced precise batching, dry ball pressing technology, and chain plate conveyor equipment for handling secondary aluminium ash. This process effectively recovers valuable elements such as aluminium and sodium while efficiently removing harmful substances like fluoride.
The research and application project for an automated aluminium bar-cutting device has led to the successful development of an advanced cutting system. This system integrates aluminium bar transfer, cutting, finished product and waste screening, and bundling and packaging of finished products.
The innovation has enhanced sawing efficiency, improved the quality of cut surfaces, and resolved production process bottlenecks. Additionally, it has elevated the technological standards and safety levels in aluminium bars and large solid metal processing, contributing to the advancement of China's nonferrous metals industry.
