The first batch of Haihu brand "Green Power High-quality 99.85 per cent Aluminium Ingot" of Qinghai Branch of China Aluminium Company (Chinalco) was off the production line in the foundry's second operation area on October 11th. The first order was for 5,000 tonnes, delivered 20 days later to East and South China consumers. The first batch of high-quality 99.85 per cent aluminium ingots of green electrolytic aluminium went offline, indicating that the company was at the forefront of local electrolytic aluminium enterprises' green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.
The endorsement of national initiatives such as "peak carbon dioxide emissions" and "carbon neutrality" has rendered it imperative for electrolytic aluminium firms to effectively implement measures to enhance the environmental sustainability of their manufacturing processes. The Qinghai Branch is situated in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, a region characterised by its distinctive natural features such as low oxygen and hydrogen levels.
These environmental conditions offer a unique opportunity to develop environmentally friendly, high-quality products. The Qinghai Branch has experienced a significant boost in the production of green aluminium due to the recent implementation of the policy to establish a green energy hub in Qinghai Province.
The Qinghai Branch demonstrates a strong understanding of market demand and conducts thorough research to identify the carbon emission baseline following the bidding country's deployment requirements. Leveraging the esteemed reputation of the "Haihu" brand aluminium ingots in international and domestic markets, the company diligently endeavours to enhance the environmentally friendly attributes of its products. Furthermore, it actively promotes energy conservation and carbon reduction by vigorously implementing scientific and technological innovations. These efforts enable the company to embark on sustainable, low-carbon, and high-quality development gradually.
The electrolytic aluminium sector in Qinghai Province recognised its energy efficiency achievements by including it in the list of "leaders" in 2020 and 2022. The carbon footprint verification certification of the China Carbon Emission Quality Certification Centre was successfully obtained by remelted aluminium ingots and aluminium rods in July 2021.
