On Friday, February 23, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price gained RMB 140 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,870 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 18,850 per tonne and RMB 18,890 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a discount price of RMB 40 to a premium price of RMB 0 per tonne.
The prices have grown in all the provinces, with the highest in Wuxi, which has grown by RMB 150 per tonne to reach RMB 18,870 per tonne. In Gongyi and Hangzhou, the domestic aluminium ingot prices have hiked by RMB 140 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,770 per tonne and RMB 18,870 per tonne. In Foshan, the price has ascended by RMB 130 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,960 per tonne.
In Shenyang and Chongqing, the aluminium ingot prices have increased by RMB 110 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne, settling at RMB 18,890 per tonne and RMB 18,850 per tonne. In Tianjin and Linyi the prices have expanded by RMB 90 per tonne to reach RMB 18,870 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has increased by RMB 133 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,785 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have gained RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 26,300 per tonne and RMB 27,300 per tonne.
The average alumina spot price has lost RMB 2 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,325 per tonne, followed by a fall of RMB 5 per tonne to reach RMB 3,265 per tonne. The Australian FOB price has added US$5 per tonne to settle at US$366 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has grown by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,500 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 19,700 per tonne.
