According to the Shanghai Metals Market survey, the average alumina spot price has decreased by RMB 3 per tonne to begin the month of March at RMB 3,348 per tonne. In Shanxi, the price has shed off RMB 10 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,365 per tonne on March 1, 2024. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 3,310-3,420 per tonne.
A00 aluminium ingot price:
Despite the drop in input cost, A00 aluminium ingot price has moved up by RMB 100 per tonne to close the week at RMB 18,960 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,940-18,980 per tonne, with average prices likely to be traded at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.
On a week-on-week basis, the primary aluminium ingot price has edged an increase of RMB 90 per tonne or 0.48 per cent from RMB 18,870 per tonne, and on an annual basis, the price is only higher by RMB 40 per tonne than RMB 18,920 per tonne.
Prices across provinces
In Hangzhou, Shenyang, and Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has also climbed up by RMB 100 per tonne to stand unanimously at RMB 18,960 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi, Foshan, and Wuxi, and Linyi has grown by RMB 80 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,850 per tonne, RMB 18,960 per tonne, and RMB 18,950 per tonne, respectively.
The domestic low-carbon aluminium price has gained RMB 123 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,809 per tonne, and the high-purity aluminium price (99.99%) has built up by RMB 100 per tonne to reach RMB 26,400 per tonne, found SMM.
Aluminium alloy prices
Aluminium alloy prices have also recorded surges on Friday, March 1. Aluminium alloy (A356) price has ascended by RMB 100 per tonne on March 1 to reach RMB 19,550 per tonne, with average prices to range between RMB 19,400-19,700 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have grown by RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,950 per tonne and RMB 20,950 per tonne, respectively.
