The average alumina spot price in China has grown for the second consecutive day by RMB 7 per tonne or 0.32 per cent to stand at RMB 2,220 per tonne, as of June 1, found Shanghai Metals Market.
In the east, the alumina price has jumped by RMB 25 per tonne after a week-long restraint, with average prices estimated to hover between RMB 2,180 per tonne and RMB 2,250 per tonne. In the central, the alumina price has increased by RMB 15 per tonne to RMB 2,215 per tonne. The average prices there are likely to range between RMB 2,200 per tonne and RMB 2,230 per tonne. In the north and south, however, the prices have remained restrained at RMB 2,225 per tonne and RMB 2,520 per tonne, respectively.
The Australian alumina FOB price has gained US$ 4 per tonne to stand at US$ 250 per tonne on June 1, according to SMM data.
Among other aluminium raw materials prices, prebaked anode price has declined by RMB 30 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,670 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 2,500 per tonne and RMB 2,840 per tonne. The price of aluminium fluoride, on the other hand, has gained by RMB 0.05 per kg to stand at RMB 17 per kg.
The A00 aluminium ingot price has increased as well by RMB 20 per tonne or 0.15 per cent to stand at RMB 13,480 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 13,460 per tonne and RMB 13,500 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 90-130 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has climbed by RMB 50 per tonne to come in at RMB 14,200 per tonne. The average prices are expected to hover between RMB 14,150 per tonne and RMB 14,250 per tonne.
