Constellium, a global leader in developing, manufacturing, and recycling aluminium products and solutions, has reportedly acquired Performance Standard Certification from the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative for all its operations, including the corporate office in Paris.
{alcircleadd}As per the report, the company has bagged ASI's latest Performance Standard Version 3.0, which sets a new benchmark for responsible production, sourcing, and stewardship of the aluminium value chain. Constellium has successfully attained that standard on all the 11 principles for its operations in Europe and North America, addressing pressing issues like material stewardship, greenhouse gas emissions, waste and water management, biodiversity, governance and labour, and human rights across its European and North American operations.
Earlier, Constellium bagged many valuable certifications from ASI, such as its rolling and extrusion facilities in Singen, Gottmadingen, and Dahenfeld, Germany, and Neuf-Brisach, France, obtained the Performance and Chain of Custody Standard certificates. In 2023, the company received the Performance Standard Certificate for its United States and Czech Republic plants.
Lastly, in July 2024, Constellium achieved the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification for its two automotive structure manufacturing facilities in Changchun and Nanjing, China
On receiving the latest certification, Constellium CEO Jean-Marc Germain, said: "This accomplishment reflects our strong commitment to responsible business practices and our dedication to delivering high-value, sustainable aluminum solutions. This certification, coupled with our recycling capacity and our sustainability commitments, is a step further to respond to the expectations of our customers and society."

Constellium's achievement across all of its operations places it among leaders within the ASI membership. We look forward to continuing our collaboration towards shared 2050 goals."
Constellium is firmly committed to sustainability and environment protection, setting a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 30 per cent within 2030 and increasing recycled aluminium content in its products to at least 50 per cent by the same year. In 2023, the company already achieved the recycled metal inputs to 42 per cent, according to the 2023 Sustainability Report.
