Crown presents Sustainability Awards to three of its facilities for maintaining high standard

On a journey to reach the Company’s Twentyby30 goals, Crown Holdings, Inc. is celebrating individual units in its network worldwide for showing extraordinary innovation and leadership in sustainability.

Every year Chairman's Sustainability Awards is arranged to honor the crucial contributions offered by employees appointed in Crown’s manufacturing facilities or the operational divisions. Mostly the awards are in three categories – Social, Environmental, and Safety.

The winners of the 2022 awards judging by the outcomes of 2021 are mentioned below:

Crown’s Texas beverage can plant in Conroe was awarded the Social Sustainability title that represents the work done for the upliftment of the workforce or the regional community.

The team showcased a rigid commitment to their locality by participating vigorously in mentorship programs, job fairs, food drives and many other volunteer opportunities. The Conroe plant has also successfully donated almost 12,000 cases of water to non-profit organisations across the community.

The Environmental Sustainability Award is presented for clean eco-drives achieved by units to curtail the Company’s operational impact, either by decreasing material consumption or by increasing reuse or recycling processes. The Mexico beverage glass plant in Chihuahua was the recipient of this award for saving over 15.5 million gallons of water and improving the quality of the facility’s wastewater.

Crown’s Indian Transit Packaging Division plant in Dahej has won the Sustainability Award for Safety for its incredible approach toward workplace safety. This award also recognises the count of incident-free days.

The Dahej facility has initiated various programs to keep its employees safe. Primarily they have introduced classrooms, medical camps, and on-site safety workshops, along with annual staff awards to encourage the employees.
