Aluminium as a metal is lightweight, corrosion resistant and sturdy, which makes it a good fit for yachts, ships and other similar structures. Custom Line brand’s flagship yacht, the new Navetta 50, is designed entirely out of aluminium. It is a part of the displacement range of the brand and has a displacement hull of fewer than 500 GT, an overall length (LOA) of 49.90 metres, and a beam of 9.60 metres.
{alcircleadd}Custom Line Navetta 50 construction will begin at the end of the year, and the yacht won't be presented until 2024. On the front of sustainability, using aluminium instead of steel, which weighs one-third less than the latter, reduces consumption on a 50-meter boat by around 10-15% of its size and volume (GT). Instead of using a hybrid propulsion system, the builders contend that improved design and manufacturing are more effective methods to be sustainable.
The flagship Navetta 50 is the outcome of the alliance between the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard Engineering Unit and the Strategic Product Department led by Piero Ferrari. The vessel's planned cruise speed and low rpm yield the highest efficiency, with an additional 10-15% boost in range as measured in nautical miles
A master bedroom on the top deck, glass surfaces connecting the interior and outdoors, and a tasteful interior architectural design by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel are just a few of the vessel's enticing characteristics. The master bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows with a 180-degree outlook, direct access to a sizable private balcony in the bow, and a solarium for watching the sunset.
All of the guest spaces, but especially the lounges on the main and upper decks, duplicate the link between the outside and the inside. This effect is achieved by utilising big floor-to-ceiling windows and reflecting surfaces. The layout of the four-deck Custom Line Navetta 50 centres around the master suite's placement at the bow on the top deck, from which all the on-board rooms develop.
The interior design is based on a concept that emphasises detail and the use of high-quality, environmentally friendly materials, such as natural leathers, in both the finishes and the details of the custom-designed furnishings. This idea was created by the skilled artisans of the yard.
From the standpoint of the shipyard, the Ancona superyacht yard features a trigeneration plant providing electric, heat, and cooling power, which cuts the use of electricity by up to 79 per cent and heat energy by 32 per cent, with yearly primary energy savings of 20 per cent.
Alpi Lignum walnut panelling, a living, certified, and environmentally sustainable material that conforms to the toughest international requirements, is one of the available finishes. The ZeroF version is made with no added formaldehyde.
