In partnership with Brisbane’s wholesaler and distributor Achievers Energy Group, China-based DAS Solar has launched its patented bifacial solar panel toned in black for application on residential rooftops. The collaboration wishes to try its luck out in the Australian renewable energy sector, which it deems to be “a hotbed for PV market expansion.”
{alcircleadd}The solar panels come encapsulated in a frame forged with anodised aluminium alloy, and the juncture box it holds is IP 68 rated. Both sides of the modules are secured with 1.6mm glass, having an operating temperature of between -40 C, and 85 C and a temperature coefficient is -0.3 % per degree Celsius.
The use of aluminium is extremely environment-friendly as it can be recycled an infinite number of times without losing its original properties. This makes the non-ferrous metal a perfect choice for end-user items that can be returned at the end of life for recycling purposes. Recently enough, Jinko Solar came out with a technology to recycle aluminium solar panels separately, negating the fear of wasting renewable materials due to inefficient sorting.
A DAS statement highlighted: “As the world moves towards renewable energy, PV installations in Australia have been booming, particularly in the residential PV market, putting the country in the top 10 of the global PV market.”
DAS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Liu Yong said the company would scrutinise opportunities in the Australian solar panel industry and is preparing to establish a franchise in the area “in order to better serve the local market.”
DAS has already released its flagship all-black n-type bifacial solar panel with 54 M10 PV cells to the wider Australian consumer, which is compatible with rooftops.
DAS’ Back-Thru range consists of five specific types of panels with a power capacity of 410 W to 430 W and efficiencies hovering around 21.0 per cent to 22.0 per cent. The company notifies that for the 410 MW and 430 MW modules, the bifaciality factor can levy up to 80 per cent power gains ranging from 10 to 30 per cent, respectively.
DAS also specified: “The Black-Thru module is even more advanced on weight load/m2 due to the lightweight dual-glass structure, which is 3 kg lighter than the same version of conventional dual-glass module and 0.7 kg lighter than mono-facial module.”
The DAS Back-Thru series arrives with a 30-year power output guarantee for 87.4 per cent of the primary energy generation in the beginning. The product proudly upholds a warranty of 15 years.
