End-user weekly recap: Crown Holdings plans to build a high-speed aluminium line at its Spanish beverage-can facility; TOSTEM to expand its market share in Thailand

The American company that makes metal beverage and food cans, metal aerosol containers, metal closures and speciality packing, Crown Holdings has recently declared its plan of constructing a high-speed aluminium line at its Agoncillo beverage-can facility in Spain. After evaluating the market in Thailand, TOSTEM, Japan’s leading manufacturer of aluminium windows and doors, wishes to expand its company shares in the retail sector there. Funding worth $4 million has been granted to the Saguenay-based business, A3 Surfaces to commercialise their unique technology of producing antimicrobial anodized aluminium.

Report on Global Aluminium Industry Outlook 2022

A fresh round of funding worth $4 million will help A3 Surfaces commercialise antimicrobial anodized aluminium, a unique technology created by the Saguenay-based business. The Québec government provided A3 Surfaces with a $2 million loan as part of this new round of funding to help the company commercialise its aluminium anodizing technology. Desjardins Capital has pledged a $1 million contribution. In addition, $1 million has been invested by stockholders.
