The upgrade enables efficient processing of zorba, WEEE, used beverage cans, incinerator bottom ash and mixed metal fractions.
Redwave XRF sorting machines use X-ray fluorescence to identify and separate metals based on their elemental composition. Previously, aluminium separation relied on identifying accompanying elements like copper or zinc, making alloy sorting difficult. The new system accurately distinguishes aluminium alloys, ensuring better material classification and purity.
The technology allows precise sorting of aluminium alloys such as 6060/6063 and series 1xxx–7xxx. Higher purity improves access to lucrative markets by delivering premium-quality materials. A single machine now meets various sorting requirements, optimising operations.
Recyclers benefit from increased productivity with lower energy consumption. Improved quality enhances the value of recovered aluminium, supporting circular economy goals. Advanced sorting solutions like Redwave XRF ensure a more efficient and sustainable future for aluminium recycling.
