{alcircleadd}Epsilon Carbon Pvt Ltd, founded in 2010, is a manufacturer of coal tar derivatives led by a dedicated, experienced team of industry professionals and pioneered as India's continuous coal tar distillation unit in Vijayanagar, Karnataka.
This cutting-edge production facility for coal tar-associated products, which spans 160 acres and has a capacity of 220,000 MTPA, meets 40 per cent of the pitch requirement in India's aluminium industry. However, two smelters at the 10-acre pitch melting factory in Sambalpur can operate continuously and have a combined capacity of 50,000 TPA.
Coal tar pitch plays a highly critical role in aluminium production. It is used as a binder in producing carbon anodes, which are essential to the electrolysis process of extracting primary aluminium. Epsilon Carbon's backwards-integrated plant ensures a consistent supply of high-quality coal tar pitch to meet the needs of the aluminium industry.
