The International Recycling Tour, organised by Every Can Counts, a prominent recycling not-for-profit, is back for its third edition.
{alcircleadd}This campaign, aimed at raising awareness and promoting sustainable living, coincides with World Environment Day and will take place on June 5, with events spanning the weekend before.
The initiative will be conducted in 18 locations across 16 countries in Europe and Brazil, covering congested cities, parks, beaches, and festivals.
The countries participating in this initiative are Austria, Belgium, Brazil, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The ambassadors for this cause will promote the message, "Drink cans recycle forever," and encourage people to actively participate in the circular economy.
The Every Can Counts enthusiasts will carry backpacks symbolising the campaign's goal of "on-the-go" recycling, which will catch the eye of passersby, inviting them to recycle their empty cans on the spot.
The Director of Every Can Counts Europe, David Van Heuverswyn, exemplified: "By coming together to celebrate World Environment Day and embracing the endless potential of aluminium recycling, we aim to inspire behaviour change and help reach 100% can recycling in Europe and beyond. That's why we are inviting everyone—consumers, local authorities, brands, and event organisers—to join forces and find better ways to recycle on the go while having fun doing so."
This year's edition features PixelCan pop-up installations in iconic locations such as Vienna, Budapest, and Dublin. Talented street artists from each participating country have collaborated to create unique murals inspired by World Environment Day.
The PixelCan is a remarkable Every Can Counts creation, made of 2,000 drink cans arranged in a pixelated design. These stunning works of art not only impress viewers from afar but also represent the limitless potential of aluminium recycling.
