On Sunday, December 15th, Chalco's Investment Management Department conducted a preliminary design review for the alumina energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing upgrade project at Chinalco Shanxi New Materials. The review, which was done in collaboration with the Finance, Science and Technology Innovation, and Safety, Environment, and Health Departments, required a team of experts to conduct the design review.

{alcircleadd}The experts unanimously approved the preliminary design, signifying a significant milestone in advancing this key project. During the project review meeting, representatives from Shenyang Al-Mg Design and Research Institute and Henan Huahui Design Institute presented the preliminary design.
The design covered various aspects including the project background and overall situation, transformation plans, intelligent design, safety, environmental protection and energy-saving analysis, investment budget, and technical and economic evaluations.
After a thorough examination and comprehensive discussions by Chinalco's professional departments and experts, they unanimously approved the preliminary design review for upgrading and transforming Chinalco's new material alumina project in Shanxi Province. They also provided valuable feedback and recommendations for the project's construction, focusing on optimising process parameters, enhancing equipment specifications and parameters, improving production process flow, and maximising equipment utilisation.
The meeting was attended by Jiang Tao, Xu Feng, and Lu Dong, Deputy General Managers of Chalco; Lei Wang, General Manager of Chinalco Shanxi New Materials; Wang Sugang, Deputy General Manager of Chinalco Shanxi Aluminum; experts from Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design and Research Institute and Henan Huahui Design Institute; as well as relevant responsible persons and managers from Chinalco Shanxi New Materials.
