China-based Shandong Hongcan Material Technology initiated the first production stage for its large-scale, lightweight, integrated aluminium die-casting project. With a total investment of RMB 1.7 billion and a capacity to produce 3 million pieces annually of 8 different kinds of precision aluminium alloy structural components, the project was put into production on December 12.
After the project's first phase is completed, it will be capable of producing 700,000 precision aluminium alloy structural components each year. Shandong Hongcan Material Technology Co., Ltd. specialises in producing lightweight automotive, large-scale, integrated die-casting parts.
These include shock towers, stringers, rear bottom plates, battery shells, and gearbox shells. The company's primary customers are well-known domestic and international enterprises such as Tesla, BYD Auto, Ningde Times, Chery Automobile, Great Wall Motor, Dongfeng Motor, and BAIC Group.
The ceremony was held at the High-end Aluminium Industry Park in Huimin Economic and Technological Development Zone. This project will use the group's industrial base and innovative materials to establish the nation's first "aluminium liquid - die casting - equipment manufacturing - recycling and reuse" green demonstration industry chain, advancing the company's progress in lightweight development.
