EDITED BY : 3MINS READ

Fisker has introduced the Ronin, an electric sports vehicle with a cell-to-cell chassis idea. According to the release, the Ronin would have a "unique aluminium space frame with integrated battery cells." Aluminium being lightweight and durable, serves as a perfect metal for automobile manufacturers. As per the disclosure, only 999 Ronins will be constructed, according to fresh photographs released by Fisker.

The Fisker Ronin Super GT Convertible is set to be delivered in the second part of 2025. The vehicle, as unveiled during the 'Product Vision Day,' is a five-seater convertible that is both a sports car and a Gran Turismo. The car is designed to be a sporty saloon when the hardtop is folded down.

Fisker, named after the Danish Automotive Designer Henrik Fisker, is considered to be one of the premium EV car brands showcasing speed with innovative designs and modern techniques that are revolutionising the automobile sector.

The Ronin will be equipped with a three-motor all-wheel drive system capable of producing more than 745 kW of power and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than two seconds. A significant figure in the "old" combustion engine world: 745 kW = 1,013 horsepower. Fisker claims a peak speed of 170 mph (275 km/h) and a range of 600 miles (965 kilometres).

There will be an interesting door design for passengers, like the front doors will open electrically with a wiping gesture over the "handle" or via a smartphone app. When the rear doors are ready, the handle automatically folds out. According to the butterfly concept, the rear doors open in opposing directions. Furthermore, "Focus will be on driver enjoyment rather than autonomous technologies, although they will be available as needed."

Fisker claims that the Ronin will utilise the benefits of an electric platform to deliver a concept that would be difficult to realise in the combustion world: a sports car with plenty of room for passengers and luggage. Even with the carbon convertible top open, there will be some cargo space in the rear and access to the frunk. Fisker, on the other hand, does not yet disclose particular volumes.

The CEO, Henrik Fisker, commented: "The Fisker Rōnin is for people who love to drive but who are also thrilled by automotive art and design and demand that their high-performance vehicles embrace a sustainable future."

Future of Aluminium in Transportation Sector

He also added: "Our goal was to create a classic grand touring car, updated for the 21st century and engineered for customers who want to drive from Los Angeles to Napa Valley on a single charge or take on the autobahn at steady high speeds without concern for battery capacity."
