FIT Show- the UK's only exhibition for the window, door, conservatory, and double glazing industry, will be held at the NEC Birmingham from 23-25 May 2017. With many of the UK’s major aluminium window and door systems manufacturers coupled with trade fabricators and supporting service companies, the next edition of FIT Show is expected to be the biggest gathering of aluminium suppliers ever assembled at a UK fenestration trade show.
As the market for aluminium window systems among UK homeowners and residential specifiers grow, more than thirty companies express keen interest to feature aluminium framed products at their stands.
However, the USP of the 2017 FIT Show remains the large number of eminent window and door systems suppliers that are readying to launch their brand new products specially developed for the UK residential market.
The seriousness with which the aluminium industry is taking the UK home improvement end user market seems to be paramount. No wonder, the aluminium industry’s representative body will be seen representing themselves at the FIT Show to offer the fabricators, installers and specifiers attending the event valuable advice on the emerging new trends of aluminium products development.
Justin Ratcliffe, Chief Executive, Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB) said: “The surge in interest amongst homeowners in aluminium bi folding and sliding doors especially highlights just how much the aluminium fenestration sector has innovated through investment in customer research, R & D and product improvement in recent years.
It is well known that homeowners like the almost limitless choice of colours, slim but inherently strong frames and the installed performance of windows and doors in aluminium. Our latest Q3 2016, State of Trade Survey clearly highlights sales growth in the year ahead."

“CAB is at the FIT Show together with many of its members to present dozens of exciting new products, including brand new window systems, some seen for the first time anywhere, and we will have the CAB Technical Team on hand to answer any questions. For any company looking at expanding their interest in aluminium the FIT Show will have the widest range of products and services anywhere in the UK during 2017,” said Ratcliffe.
Event Director Nickie West says Brexit and the US election seem to have had little impect on the number of willing participants. Companies remain determined to present themselves at the show unlike ever before.“The market appears to be bearing up with companies determined to complete their product development and launch cycles. Stand contracts are coming in at an impressive rate and we are heading for a full show,” said Nickie.
