The Vendée group Gustave Rideau, a major player in aluminium verandas, has just acquired BGN, which delivers a pass to Gustave Rideau to enter the metal construction market.
This company from La Crèche, near Niort, deploys a wide range of trades, from metal frameworks to locksmithing, including the production of roofing, cladding or aluminium joinery.
Gustave Rideau, President and Founder of the group with the same name, said: "In particular, we had an additional need in the coverage of large-span swimming pools, and BGN provides us with the aluminium-steel mix necessary for that.”
Rideau, which already supplied private swimming pools, is now targeting the larger ones of the 8,000 French campsites. The new expertise will also allow it to approach the games and water parks segment. BGN brings to Vendée a turnover of € 18 million, a force of 70 employees and a recent industrial tool.
“All our jobs are green; I have never experienced such a situation in 45 years”, said Gustave Rideau.
The group claims the first French rank in the aluminium veranda market. It also manufactures shelters for swimming pools, terraces, pergolas, mobile homes with a presence in the outdoor hotel industry. It employs 750 people deployed on 4 production sites in Vendée and in September announced the objective of reaching 850 people within a year. It was targeting, on a like-for-like basis, € 165 million in turnover this year against € 160 million last year and 200 in 2021.
