Frizzy hair is an instant eyebrow-raiser, be it at a party, meeting, festivities or interview. If you face this and need an instant solution, it is not essential for you to carry hair treatment products only if you have a piece of aluminium foil on you.
{alcircleadd}Recently, a wave of TikTok videos went viral where people rubbed aluminium foil on their hair, and voila, the frizz was gone. People hailed aluminium foil, a common food packing item found almost in every household, for saving them from awkward encounters and social embarrassments.
To add viability to the hack, renowned beauty expert Jessica Harrington tried and confirmed the result. She said, "To test it out myself, I grabbed a piece of aluminium cooking foil about one foot by half a foot wide. I was working with day four hair, which typically, for me, starts to look a little stringy at the ends and frizzy at the roots. I started by dividing my hair down the middle and pulling it over both shoulders. Then, scrunching the foil in my hand slightly, I wrapped it around one side of my head and pulled down, creating some tension with my hair. I also tried to smooth my roots with the foil by rubbing it on my scalp."
She tried a few passes and compared the right side to the left and the difference was clear.
She also added, "All in all, the frizzy hair hack took me less than a minute and delivered instantaneous results. Though the smoothing benefits only lasted about an hour or so, it made my hair look nicer for the photos I took immediately after trying it."
Rubbing aluminium foil on hair can reduce frizz due to its ability to neutralise the hair's pH, smooth the cuticle, and dispel static electricity. This temporary fix again proves the comprehensive and versatile utilisation of the non-ferrous metal.
