The aluminium-framed CR500 from Honda was considered one of the most popular two-stroke dirt-bike models during the mid-2000s. It also featured an air/liquid-cooled CR500 engine, dual disc brakes, and cartridge-type suspension.
{alcircleadd}This aluminium-framed dirt bike also came with a single-cylinder, 2-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with a bore-stroke ratio of 89 x 79 mm. The air-fuel combination was handled by a 38-mm flat-slide Keihin carburettor with a 6.8:1 compression ratio (#55 slow and #170 main). An expansion chamber and an oiled polyurethane foam element were also used for air filtering.
Aluminium bike frames are solid and stable despite their low weight, making them ideal for various riders. These bikes are perfect for mountain bikers, touring cyclists, or anyone who can't resist a ride in damp circumstances because aluminium is also rust-resistant.
As per the reports, Pro Circuit produced the first version of this bike during the latter years of Honda's two-stroke race bike manufacture. However, due to the restricted supply of two-stroke engines and other components needed to build the bike, these models are no longer being made.
