According to a recent report, Hydro Extrusion Argentina S.A. in Pilar will be certified by Aluminium Stewardship Initiative against the Performance Standard Certification. The plant will be the first aluminium extrusion facility in the country to be certified against the ASI Performance Standard.
The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative’s Performance Standard recognizes responsible production, sourcing, and stewardship of aluminium.
Hydro Extrusion Argentina S.A. is already certified according to ISO 14040/14044, and employs around 105 people. It operates one of the most technically advanced extrusion presses in Latin America.
The extrusion products produced in this plant serves many industries, including building and construction. The plant is proactive in product innovation under a sustainable manufacturing approach, and it is considered a positive reference within the community.
“This certification shows our customers in Argentina yet again that doing business the right way is what we are all about,” said executive vice president Paul Warton, who leads Hydro’s Extrusions business area.
