Hydro's Reynosa plant has been successfully registered against the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard. This can be considered Hydro's first ASI certification in Mexico.
{alcircleadd}Hydro's Reynosa plant is situated on the southern edge of the Rio Grande River and employs over 320 heads. Since its inception in 2006, the plant has been going through a series of expansion projects, making it the most capable supplier of aluminium heat exchange solutions in the area. Hydro's Reynosa plant mainly serves the automotive or HVACR sector.
Jeffrey L. Insalaco, the vice president responsible for Hydro's aluminium tubing business in North America, exemplified: "The process leading to this achievement reflects a very strong collaboration between our local organization as well as the support from Hydro Extrusions. Besides improving the stewardship of our value chain, we expect a value that will benefit our customers."
The ASI Performance Standard certification oversees the responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium. This particular certification would be applicable for both the operations of the plant, e.i., the extrusion and fabrication businesses.
Hydro's Reynosa plant excels in producing extruded aluminium components, high-voltage aluminium cables and precisely engineered tubes. HVACR system makers and other heating or cooling mechanism manufacturers usually demand these aluminium items.
Hydro Extrusions is the biggest business division within Hydro that provides precisely engineered aluminium components and solutions to all heavy industries like the automobile, logistical, construction, electronics, offshore and maritime. Hydro's extrusion firm replies to the demands of more than 30,000 customers internationally.
